a memorial day tribute.

For the past four years, we’ve spent Memorial Day Weekend with friends on Coronado Island in San Diego. It’s awesome. Quinnster’s family has a home on the island and have been generous to let their home become the backdrop for our annual tradition of (intense and very competitive) flippy cup tournaments, beach cruising, nighttime shenanigans, pink helmets & yellow bats, vodka lemonades on the beach, grilling, tons of board games, beach bocce, beer pong, an annual knock on the door from the local police and so much more.

Sadly the tradition had to be put on pause this year, but we’ll be back on the island this time next year.

a little photo tribute of the past four years on the island.
until next year friends.

{one of the best memories – girl’s stealing the boy’s bikes from the bar}

{bocce ball for the boys}

{come sundown things get a little rowdy}
{an epic battle for the bat. followed by the infamous donna “john deere” move}

{the boys beach crusin’ past the del}

{yup, never fails}

{gettin’ our grill on}

{the other flippy cup team}
{after someone dove across the table to get the yellow bat – for real}

{amazing baker that quinnster}

{the winning team… right colbs? ;)}

{off to tennis}

{the cruisin’ bentleys}

{on a very serious and dark mission}
{watching the flip video. this entire night’s worth of photos just aren’t blog appropriate}
{vodka lemonade to go}
{cocktails at the hotel del coronado}

{beer pong time}

{told you}

{a leaning jowler? pass the pigs – great game}
we hope you enjoy your holiday weekend
